Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper Job Type: Full-time

Aylesbury (office based) Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper to join our team. This role involves managing multi-currency bank and account reconciliations, invoice processing, and assisting with payroll and HR administration. The ideal candidate will be AAT qualified or have equivalent experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role.

Day-to-day of the role:
Conduct multi-currency bank and account reconciliations. Process multi-currency invoices and manage supplier payment runs. Administer online banking and credit card platforms. Handle monthly employee payroll and pension information in coordination with outsourced specialists. Maintain accurate and complete HR records, including annual leave and company car fleet records. Liaise with HR specialists for ad hoc HR requests and manage annual P11D information.

Assist with the reconciliation of UK and Irish VAT returns. Support month-end and year-end reporting and audits. Perform balance sheet reconciliations and handle ad-hoc requests from the parent company and local authorities. Required Skills &

Qualifications:

AAT qualification or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar finance role. High proficiency in data processing and maintaining accuracy. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach. Confident IT skills, including strong Excel and ideally knowledge of Sage 200. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Adaptability and resilience in a fast-changing environment.
