Controllerforthebusiness–supportingwithallareasoftransactionalfinanceforthegroup(AP,salesledgerandcreditcontrol,payrollandexpenses,reconciliations,monthendreportingetc)
Thisisagenuinelyvaried,hands-onfinancerolewhereyou’llhavetheopportunitytotakeownershipofabroadrangeofday-to-dayaccountingactivities.
Reportingtothe Finance Manager ,you’llplayanimportantroleinkeepingthefinancefunctionrunningsmoothly.

Yourremitwillinclude:
- Processingsupplierinvoicesaccuratelyandefficiently
- Matchingpurchaseorders,deliverynotesandinvoices
- Preparingsupplierpaymentruns
- Resolvinginvoicequerieswithsuppliersandinternalteams
- Allocatingcustomerreceipts
- Chasingoverduepaymentswhilstbuildingandmaintainingexcellentworkingrelationships
- Maintainingaccuratecustomeraccountrecords
Banking&Cash Management
- Completingdailybankreconciliations
- Postingreceiptsandpayments
- Supportingcashflowreporting
- Monitoringcompanycreditcardsandemployeeexpenses
Month-End&Management Accounts
- Supporting month-endjournalsandreconciliations
- Preparingbalancesheetreconciliations
- Assistingwithaccrualsandprepayments
- Supportingtheproductionofmonthlymanagementaccounts
- Maintainingthefixedassetregisterwhererequired
Payroll&General Finance
- Supportingpayrolladministrationandpensioninformation
- Maintainingemployeefinancerecords
- AssistingwithVATreturnsandauditrequirements
- Supporting the Finance Managerwithadhocreportingandfinancequeries
- Providingcoverforothermembersofthefinanceteamwhenrequired
Youwillneedtohave:
- Previousexperienceinafinance/accounts role
- Goodunderstandingofdouble-entry bookkeeping
- Purchase and Salesledgerexperience
- Experienceusingaccountingsoftwaresuchas Sage,Xero,Quickbooksorsimilar
- Strongattentiontodetailandaccuracy
- Excellentorganisationalandcommunicationskills
- Theabilitytomanagecompetingprioritiesandmeetdeadlines
- Apositive,practicalandhands-on approach
- Abilitytoworkautonomously
AATqualificationorstudiestowardsAATwouldbeadvantageous,aswouldpreviousexperienceinanSMEenvironment.
Thiswouldsuitsomeonewhoenjoysbeinginvolvedacrossthefinancefunctionratherthanbeingrestrictedtoonearea.
