We invest around £18 million each year in improving our clinical services by replacing and upgrading medical equipment, modernising estate and facilities and improving information and technology infrastructure. Each year, we treat more than 200,000 accident and emergency patients and carry out more than 80,000 procedures.
Sonographer lead, the ultrasound departments at ULTH incorporate a wide range of procedures which includes abdominal, obstetric, gynaecological, small parts and vascular procedures. We have a strong commitment to personal development in all aspects of ultrasound such as led fine needle aspiration of Head & Neck nodules and Hy Co Sy . Audit and CPD is actively encouraged and bi‑monthly audit meetings for ultrasound are ongoing.

- Saturday and Sundays (7.5 hr days)
- The post holder will need to undertake general abdominal, gynaecological, small parts, DVTs and Carotid ultrasound examinations.
- We do not currently offer a weekend Obstetric Ultrasound Service.
The successful candidate must hold the Post Graduate Diploma in ultrasound (or equivalent) and be HCPC Registered. The ultrasound department is currently working a 7‑day week.
The post holder will be an effective communicator, able to work alone or as part of a team, demonstrate organisational skills and have the ability to work to a high standard, both technically and in patient care. Rotation to other Trust sites may be required.
Lincoln Hospital is a thriving university city and with the opening of the medical school, it provides all major specialties and a 24‑hour major accident and emergency service.
United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust has been granted teaching hospital status, after demonstrating evidence to significant teaching commitment. From now on it will be known as United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
Pilgrim Hospital is situated in beautiful countryside and serves the communities in the South Lincolnshire area. It provides all major specialties and a 24‑hour major accident and emergency service.
Grantham and District Hospital serves the communities of Grantham and the local area. It provides ambulatory paediatric and accident and emergency services.
Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) and United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT) have come together in a Group arrangement, with the goal of improving the care provided to patients across the county. The Group will be known as Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals NHS Group (LCHG).
