Overview
A Vacancy at Northern Lincolnshire & Goole NHS Foundation Trust – Band 7 Advanced Practitioner in Haematology within the Blood Sciences Department at Lincoln County Hospital. The laboratory is part of the Path Links pathology network, serving five sites (Lincoln, Grantham, Boston, Scunthorpe and Grimsby). All laboratories are equipped with state‑of‑the‑art analysers and a unified computer system.
Key responsibilities- Support Laboratory Manager and act as deputy when required.
- Contribute to the technical work of the department, oversee day‑to‑day operations and ensure delivery of a quality service.
- Develop and deliver staff training and professional development programmes, including registration and specialist portfolio completion.
- Apply and maintain UKAS ISO:15189 standards within the laboratory.
- Biomedical Scientist qualification with relevant experience in haematology.
- Experience in staff training and development desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, using good communication skills and working under pressure.
