The Role

As a Mental Health Support Worker, you’ll provide person-centred emotional and practical support
, helping individuals with mental health needs to live as independently, confidently and meaningfully as possible.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting daily routines and personal care where required
  • Encouraging independence, confidence and life skills
  • Supporting appointments, activities and community access
  • Helping individuals enjoy hobbies, interests and social activities
  • Building positive and trusting relationships
  • Working alongside families, healthcare professionals and other support services
  • Responding calmly and professionally to challenging situations
  • Promoting dignity, choice, privacy, respect and wellbeing at all times
Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for people who are compassionate, empathetic, patient and non-judgemental
, with the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm under pressure.

You’ll need to be reliable, adaptable and able to work both independently and as part of a team, with a genuine commitment to helping people achieve their goals.

Previous experience in mental health, healthcare, social care or supported living is desirable but not essential — full training can be provided for the right candidates.

A driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable due to the geographical nature of the role, with mileage paid.
