Process Automation Specialist (Full Time) –

The Process Automation Specialist is responsible for analyzing, mapping, documenting, and optimizing business processes to improve organizational efficiency and scalability. This role combines process engineering expertise with hands-on experience in automation and AI-driven workflows. The ideal candidate will design future-state processes, implement automation solutions using traditional scripting and platforms, as well as leverage Copilot and agentic AI frameworks to create intelligent, adaptive process solutions.

This role reports within the Center of Excellence at Cornhusker Bank and blends traditional IT system administration with emerging technologies to optimize operational efficiency across the bank.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Administer, monitor, and maintain enterprise systems, including core banking platforms, automation workflows, and industry-specific applications
• Collaborate with business units to map and document existing processes, identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements, and develop future-state process models aligned with organizational goals
• Support the design, deployment, documentation, and maintenance of business process workflows and integrations
• Manage system configurations, updates, and documentation for both legacy and modern platforms
• Ensure system reliability, data integrity, and security across all environments
• Prepare documentation and training materials for new processes and automation tools
• Support adoption of process changes across business units
• Provide Tier 2/3 support for escalated technical issues

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as a technical liaison between the Center of Excellence and other departments
• Develop, test, and monitor agentic AI processes that enable autonomous decision-making and adaptive workflows where appropriate
• Contribute to the bank’s digital transformation initiatives through automation and AI integration
• Participate in business continuity planning and execution
• Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role in a regulated industry
• Experience with business process automation or RPA platforms (e.g. Visual Cron, Power Automate, UiPath, or similar)
• Familiarity with AI tools and Copilot agent development (e.g., Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure OpenAI)
• Familiarity with network infrastructure, virtualization, and cloud services (AWS, Azure)
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Power Shell, Python)
• Knowledge of system security, compliance, and data governance
• Experience with core banking systems and financial services software preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent experience
• Valid driver’s license for travel between locations
