Working Pattern- Ongoing:
Typically 2 days on-site / 3 days remote (flexible where required)
We are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Team Leader to lead and support a high-performing infrastructure function across a multi-site environment.
You’ll be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations (BAU), driving infrastructure projects, and ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of core IT systems.
This is a hands‑on leadership role, working closely with internal IT teams, stakeholders, and third-party suppliers.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Infrastructure team across BAU support and project delivery
- Own escalations, major incidents, and root cause analysis (RCA)
- Manage and maintain core infrastructure (servers, storage, network) in line with ITIL practices
- Collaborate with internal teams (Support, Cyber, Applications) to manage workloads and priorities
- Support the design and delivery of infrastructure changes and improvements
- Ensure infrastructure availability, performance, and resilience across the organisation
- Manage third‑party vendors and service providers
- Maintain documentation, processes, and service standards
- Ensure incidents are resolved within SLA and investigate breaches
- Deputise for the Infrastructure Manager when required
- Proven experience leading infrastructure or technical support teams
- Strong knowledge of:
- Azure, VMware, and VDI (AVD, Citrix)
- Networking (LAN, WAN, SD‑WAN)
- Microsoft 365, Exchange, and Intune
- Experience working in a multi‑site environment (retail or distributed business advantageous)
- Strong incident management and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management ability
- Ability to balance BAU operations with project delivery
- Strong team leadership with a proactive, “can‑do” attitude
- Ability to prioritise workloads and drive team performance
- Collaborative approach across IT and wider business teams
- Comfortable working in fast‑paced, evolving environments
