An established food manufacturing business are looking for talented Technical Manager to take full ownership of food safety, quality and compliance at site level.
Set within a fast-paced FMCG environment, with autonomy and influence. You'll lead a small technical team and act as the key point of contact for audits, customers and senior leadership, ensuring standards are consistently met and continuously improved.

Key Responsibilities
* Full accountability for food safety, quality and legality across the site
* Lead and manage all internal, customer and third-party audits, maintaining audit readiness at all times
* Line management and development of the Technical Team, including QA, QC, hygiene oversight and pest control providers
* Embed a strong food safety and quality culture throughout the operation
* Develop and deliver the site technical strategy, aligned with business objectives
* Monitor and report on technical performance using KPIs, complaints data, non-conformances and trend analysis
* Ensure all customer and regulatory visits are professionally managed
* Provide clear, accurate technical reporting to senior leadership
* Drive continuous improvement across systems, processes and people
About You
You'll be an experienced Technical Manager who is confident operating at site level in a customer-facing FMCG environment.
Essential:
* Degree (or equivalent) in Food Science or a related discipline
* Significant experience within food manufacturing, including several years in a technical leadership role
* Strong knowledge of food safety systems, HACCP and retailer standards
* Knowledge of BRC compliance and proven audit experience
* Experience leading and developing small technical teams
* Highly organised, detail-focused and comfortable working at pace
* Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
* Good IT capability, including Microsoft Office and quality systems
