• Metallurgically examine coatings on customer components to ascertain cause of failure or to confirm new coating techniques meet the expected requirements.
• Prepare laboratory reports outlining examination details and conclusions.
• Ensure all inspection documentation is complete and accurately recorded on outgoing certification.
• Issue the final certification of conformance prior to dispatch of components.
• Raise non‑conformance reports when required.
• Monitor strip line by means of chemical analysis and analyse coatings using SEM and EDX.
• Prepare and evaluate various hardness samples.

• Previous experience in a laboratory within manufacturing, coating or aerospace industries.
• Education to A level or equivalent, science based.
• Analytical and detail oriented.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
• Demonstrable ability to deliver responsibilities in line with safety, quality and productivity targets.
