This hire sits at management level within a leadership team of six, reporting directly to the Managing Director.
What We Are Looking For
Essential:
* Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related discipline
* Proven background in production or manufacturing engineering
* Hands-on experience improving production line efficiency and specifying new manufacturing processes
* Practical, factory-floor approach alongside the ability to operate at management level
* Strong project management capability - comfortable managing multiple concurrent work streams
* Excellent communication skills - able to engage at board level and with shop floor teams
* Commercially aware, with experience contributing to capex planning and supplier negotiations
Desirable:
* Experience in timber processing, agricultural machinery, FMCG, food manufacturing, or a similar process-driven environment
* Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement qualification
* Experience in a growing SME or turnaround environment
What Is On Offer
* Salary up to £45,000 per annum
* Management-level position with genuine influence from day one
* A pivotal role in shaping the future of a well-backed, rapidly growing manufacturing business
* Part of a wider group of 12-13 companies - longer-term career development opportunities
* Stable, values-driven business with strong group backing and real growth ambition
