About the Role
We are looking for a motivated graduate to join our Manufacturing team as a Test & Assembly Operative. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience assembling, testing and repairing advanced electronic products within a high-tech manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble and test electronic and RF products using detailed work instructions, engineering drawings and test procedures.
Carry out mechanical assembly, PCB soldering and other manufacturing processes to required quality standards.
Complete production documentation, test reports and build records accurately.
Support fault finding and repair activities on production units and returned products.
Adhere to Health & Safety, quality, ESD and environmental requirements.
Work collaboratively with Engineering and Production teams to achieve delivery targets.
Participate in continuous improvement activities, including 5S and process improvement projects.
What We're Looking For
Essential
Degree, HND, apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Strong practical aptitude and interest in electronics and manufacturing.
Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
Ability to read and follow technical drawings, work instructions and test procedures.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
Ability to manage workload effectively and maintain accurate records.
Desirable
Placement year, internship, project work or laboratory experience within an engineering environment.
Basic experience of soldering, assembly or electronic testing.
Knowledge of RF, microwave or electronic systems.
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles such as 5S.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
Awareness of Health & Safety, ESD and manufacturing best practices.
