Maintenance Engineer

Pertemps Lincoln are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our customer, an established manufacturing business based in Lincoln.

You will be working within a busy manufacturing environment, responsible for maintaining, repairing and fixing production machinery and equipment to help keep the site operating efficiently and minimise downtime.
This is a full-time position offered on a rolling basis, initially for 3 months, with the potential to continue beyond this period.

What will I be paid?

£24.03 – £26.45 per hour, depending on experience
What hours will I be working?

Monday to Friday
08:00 – 16:00
Full-time hours
Optional Saturday work available
What will I be doing?

Carrying out mechanical repairs on production machinery and equipment
Diagnosing and fixing mechanical faults and breakdowns
Completing planned and preventative maintenance
Responding to machinery breakdowns to minimise production downtime
Inspecting equipment and identifying potential faults before they cause breakdowns
Repairing and replacing mechanical components as required
Supporting the installation, modification and improvement of machinery
Working closely with production teams to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently
Following site health and safety procedures at all times
What skills and experience do I need?

Previous experience in a similar role.
Experience maintaining and repairing machinery within a manufacturing or production environment
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Confident diagnosing breakdowns and carrying out repairs

Experience with planned and preventative maintenance
Relevant mechanical, electrical or engineering qualification would be advantageous
Good understanding of health and safety within a manufacturing environment
Reliable and able to work independently as well as part of an engineering team
Ideal for Candidates Based In
Lincoln, North Hykeham, Waddington, Gainsborough, Newark, Market Rasen and surrounding areas.
