Position: Nurse Associate (Ref: 0103ZN)

Main duties of the job

This position is offered on a part time and permanent basis. You will work 18 hours per week, comprising 2 shifts, which will vary between 7.00am-4.00pm and 7.00am-9.00pm. Saturday working will be required to meet the needs of the service and shifts will be 7.00am-4.00pm or 8.00am-5.00pm. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, contributing to clinical care, harm reduction and recovery-focused support for people with complex needs, promoting person-centred, trauma-informed care at all times.

  • Supporting the delivery of safe, effective clinical interventions
  • Carrying out health assessments, observations and basic clinical procedures
  • Supporting harm reduction initiatives, including BBV screening and health promotion
  • Maintaining accurate clinical records in line with professional and organisational standards
  • Working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team, including nurses, recovery workers and external health professionals
  • Contributing to safeguarding, risk management and service quality improvement

Essential Skills

We d be excited to see the following in your application:

  • Evidence of a Nurse Associate qualification and NMC registration
  • Evidence of working collaboratively with other members of a multi-disciplinary team, as well as the ability to work independently
  • Evidence of medication administration and knowledge around CD administration
  • Contribution to ongoing assessment of care, recognising when to refer to senior colleagues
  • Clinical skills, including ECG monitoring, venepuncture and vital sign recording
