Quality Lab Technician

• Metallurgically examine coatings on customer components to ascertain cause of failure or to confirm/check that new coating techniques meet the requirements expected.
• Prepare laboratory reports outlining details of the examination and any conclusions reached.
• Ensure that all inspection documentation is complete and accurately recorded.
• Issue the final certification of conformance prior to the dispatch of components.
• Raise non-conformance reports when required.
• Monitor strip line by means of chemical analysis, and analyse coatings using SEM and EDX.
• Prepare and evaluate various hardness samples.

• Previous experience in a laboratory within manufacturing, coating or aerospace industries.
• A qualification to A level or equivalent (science based).
• Analytical and detail oriented.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
• Demonstrable ability to deliver responsibilities in line with safety, quality and productivity targets.

Salary range: £27,000 - £29,000
