We are looking for a Rural Asset Manager to help manage a varied rural and residential property portfolio. Reporting to the Head of Property, you will take a practical, customer-focused approach to lead tenancy management, estate compliance, property maintenance and improvement projects. This is a varied, hands-on role working closely with the Property Lead to combine estate and asset management, capital project delivery, financial control and stakeholder leadership, with regular travel across the Dyson Farming portfolio.

Key

responsibilities
  • Oversight and accountability of contractual agreements across the rural and residential portfolio, including lettings, property handovers, tenancy matters and third-party agreements.
  • Ensure statutory, health and safety, landlord and property compliance obligations are met, with accurate and up-to-date records maintained.
  • Lead planning applications, estate development opportunities, woodland management initiatives and smaller improvement projects.
  • Drive asset performance, identifying opportunities to improve utilisation, sustainability and long-term value.
  • Managing annual budgeting, monthly reporting, and the effective management of property-related expenditure and accounts.
  • Lead property improvement and development projects from business case through to completion.
  • Build strong working relationships with tenants, guests, colleagues, suppliers and other stakeholders.
Skills and experience
  • MRICS, FAAV or a relevant equivalent professional qualification or level of experience.
  • Relevant experience in rural asset, estate or property management, with a sound understanding of landlord and tenant matters.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive and responsible approach, with a strong commitment to health and safety and high standards of service.
  • Sound commercial judgement, with the ability to identify opportunities to improve asset performance and value.
  • Proven experience delivering capital projects and managing budgets, contractors and suppliers.
  • Strong planning, organisation, decision-making and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A confident, professional communicator who can build effective relationships and handle a range of situations with diplomacy and sound judgement.
  • Good digital skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and the ability to maintain accurate property records.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the portfolio.
