Chef Wanted – Busy, Friendly Pub Kitchen

We’re looking for a skilled and passionate Chef or great Cook to join our kitchen team at a well-established, community-focused pub. If you love cooking honest, great-tasting food in a lively atmosphere, this is the job for you.

Role

You’ll be responsible for preparing and delivering high-quality pub food, maintaining kitchen standards, and working as part of a close-knit team to keep service running smoothly.

Responsibilities

* Preparing and cooking fresh, seasonal pub dishes

* Ensuring food quality, presentation, and consistency

* Maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety (HACCP)

* Managing stock, portion control, and minimising waste

* Working efficiently during busy services

* Supporting menu development and daily specials

* Keeping the kitchen clean, organised, and compliant

What we’re looking for

* Previous experience as a Chef or Cook (pub or restaurant experience preferred)

* A genuine passion for food and hospitality

* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

* Good time management and organisational skills

* A positive attitude and strong team ethic

* Food hygiene cert

Lunch times and evening work. Working on a shift rota covering with other people. Salary based on experience.
