Sales Assistant

Job Summary

We are looking for a Sales Assistant to join our welcoming team. You will deliver an exceptional level of personalised service both in store and in customers’ homes, introducing them to feel‑good furniture that improves their wellbeing. This role offers 28 hours per week, with a salary of £12.80 per hour and a range of benefits.

HSL Chairs, Lincoln

From the moment customers walk through the door or arrive in their homes, you’ll create a warm and memorable experience. You may greet them with a smile, help them avoid the rain with an umbrella, or guide them through our unique chair fitting service. You’ll help customers discover the wellbeing benefits of our expertly designed chairs and sofas, supporting them in finding a style, fabric, and size that truly suits their needs.

You’ll also help maintain the showroom, ensuring everything feels fresh, tidy, and welcoming.

• Build a warm, empathetic, and friendly approach with customers
• Show great eye for detail and pride in presentation

• Support customers through sales, fitting, and post‑sale follow‑up
• Maintain showroom appearance to high standards

• Previous experience in retail sales and customer service is a plus, but enthusiasm, a positive attitude, and eagerness to learn are essential.
• DBS check will apply.

You’ll receive in‑depth training through our HSL Academy at Comfort House in West Yorkshire, with hands‑on learning and expert guidance from our independent Occupational Therapist, Julie Jennings. We pride ourselves on helping employees grow.
