Heritage Security & Site Operations Officer

Part‑time (20.75 hours per week).

We seek a dedicated professional to safeguard and operate Lincolnshire’s heritage sites.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting regular indoor and outdoor patrols at Lincolnshire Archives and potentially other heritage sites as needed.
• Responding to security incidents and emergencies with professionalism and calm.
• Monitoring and managing access to restricted areas and supervising contractors.
• Supporting visitor experience by providing directions and ensuring a welcoming, safe environment.
• Performing essential site operations such as compliance checks, keyholding, and basic maintenance.

Desired qualities and skills:

• Professional and flexible, able to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays as part of a call‑out rota.
• Customer‑focused, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physically fit, capable of significant walking and rapid response to incidents.
• Security‑conscious, ideally with an SIA licence or willingness to train, and a strong understanding of safety protocols.

• Aged 18 or over with the legal right to work in the UK.
• Willingness to undertake First Aid and SIA training if not already qualified.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions quickly.
• Commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety, security, and visitor care.

The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential.
