Company Security Controller (CSC) Cambridgeshire or Lincolnshire | Permanent | £70,000 - £85,000 DOE Help shape the future of secure defence technology
At MASS, security isn't an afterthought. It's embedded from concept, influences solution design, builds customer confidence and underpins the delivery of nationally important defence capabilities.
As our Company Security Controller, you'll become the organisation's senior security authority, shaping how security enables business growth, protects critical capability and supports the delivery of secure technologies.
This is an opportunity to build something lasting. You'll influence strategy, advise senior leaders, work directly with MOD, UKSV and customer security authorities, and help define how security evolves across a growing defence technology business.
Why this opportunity? As MASS continues to expand its secure services, classified capabilities and customer engagements, security requires dedicated leadership rather than periodic attention.
This newly created role provides end-to-end ownership of security governance across the business. You'll ensure we continue to meet Government, MOD and customer requirements while strengthening security culture, influencing bids and solution design, and helping security remain a strategic business enabler.
If you're looking for a role where you can lead security rather than simply administer it, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact.
Why MASS?MASS offers something different.
Unlike many Prime contractors, where security responsibilities are highly specialised, or smaller organisations where the role can become largely administrative, you'll influence security across the entire business.
Working across personnel, physical, information and protective security, you'll support more than 350 employees, alongside contractors and associates, across multiple secure locations. You'll work directly with senior leaders, programme teams and customers, helping protect the people, facilities and technologies behind nationally important Defence and National Security programmes.

- Acting as MASS's Company Security Controller.
- Leading personnel, physical, information and protective security governance.
- Building relationships with UKSV, MOD, DISAC, customers and regulatory authorities.
- Overseeing facility security, personnel vetting and classified asset management.
- Supporting bids, projects and solution teams with security advice from concept through delivery.
- Leading investigations, audits, assurance activities and continual improvement.
- Developing security policies, governance and security awareness across the organisation.
Based at either our head office in St Neots
, or our Lincoln office ( Training Academy) you’ll work closely with technical, operational and business leaders across the organisation.
You’ll also support across our sites, with travel to those and customer locations as required.
What we're looking forWe're looking for someone who enjoys building trusted relationships, solving complex security challenges and helping organisations operate securely.
EssentialYou'll have experience working within Government, Defence or National Security environments, together with a strong understanding of Government security policy and assurance.
You'll also have experience of:

- Working with senior stakeholders and Government security authorities.
- Developing pragmatic, risk-based solutions within highly regulated environments.
- Communicating confidently with customers, regulators and senior leaders.
- Professional security qualifications such as ISMP, CPP or CSMP.
- Knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST or similar security frameworks.

You'll help shape security across a growing defence technology business,…
