Location: Lincolnshire
An excellent opportunity for an experienced Solar PV Installer to join a long-established, family-run energy and facilities services provider.
The company designs, installs and supports energy-saving solutions for commercial, industrial and educational clients across the UK, including LED lighting, eco-heating, commercial solar lighting and Solar PV systems. With strong growth and repeat work from major clients, they are investing in their in-house solar team and looking for a reliable installer who takes real pride in safe, tidy, high-quality work.
The Role
We are looking for a capable, electrically biased Solar PV Installer to support the delivery and ongoing performance of commercial Solar PV systems across a range of commercial and educational sites. The role covers both new installations and existing systems, with a strong focus on electrical works, commissioning and system performance.
You will work as part of a small, experienced team, contributing to projects from installation through to final testing and handover.
Key Responsibilities
• Electrical installation and commissioning of Solar PV systems
• AC and DC wiring, isolators and protection devices
• Installation, configuration and commissioning of inverters
• Testing, fault-finding and remedial works on live PV systems
• Supporting commercial rooftop PV installations where required
• Completing electrical certification and installation documentation
• Working to high standards of safety, workmanship and site presentation
What We’re Looking For
• Qualified electrician with hands-on Solar PV experience
• Strong electrical installation and testing background
• Comfortable working with a range of inverter systems
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Inspection & testing or solar-specific qualifications desirable but not essential
• Experience installing panels on roofs beneficial but not essential
• Full UK driving licence
• A reliable, professional engineer who takes pride in their work
Salary and Package
• £37,000 to £47,000 basic salary depending on experience
