Position: Personal Advisor - Information, Advice & Guidance Team (IAG)

Information, Advice and Guidance Leaving Care Worker / Personal Adviser

Location: Lincoln (full‑time) and Sleaford (part‑time)

Salary: £32,597‑£35,412 (pay award pending)

Key Responsibilities
  • Support care‑experienced young people aged 16‑25, with a focus on those recently turned 21 and above.
  • Provide information, advice, guidance and practical support across Accommodation, Health, Education, Employment, Finances, Wellbeing and life‑skills.
  • Signpost, visit in person and help with forms, appointments and link to other leaving‑care teams.
  • Carry out needs assessments, pathway plans and case recording, and attend supervisions.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with young people and their networks.
  • Coordinate multi‑agency support, lead on planning and act as lead professional when appropriate.
  • Participate in duty rota to support young people in crisis.
  • Travel locally and nationally for face‑to‑face visits.
Qualifications and Experience
  • NVQ Level3 or equivalent (or proven relevant qualifications).
  • Experience supporting young people aged 16‑25.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, risk management and child development.
  • Flexible working, including occasional evening work.
  • Confidence in working across agencies and cultural contexts.
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
