ISVA - Independent Sexual Violence Adviser, Lincolnshire Rape Crisis

We are looking for dynamic, motivated and compassionate individuals with excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will be able to communicate sensitively with people who may be distressed, overwhelmed or experiencing significant uncertainty, while also engaging confidently and professionally with a wide range of agencies.

You will be resilient, highly organised and able to manage a demanding caseload without losing sight of the individual person behind each case. You will demonstrate sound professional judgement, strong boundaries and the ability to remain calm, responsive and solution-focused in complex situations.

Experience of advocacy, casework or supporting people within health, social care, criminal justice, safeguarding or the voluntary sector would be advantageous. Knowledge of the criminal justice system and the impact of sexual violence is desirable; however, we also welcome applicants with strong transferable skills and the commitment and ability to develop specialist knowledge.

The successful applicant will be required to complete an accredited ISVA qualification as an essential part of the role. Applicants must be able to attend and successfully complete all required training dates and demonstrate a clear commitment to developing their professional practice.

The role requires regular travel across Lincolnshire and flexibility to respond to the needs of clients and the service. Appointment is subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks, including an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and Level 2 police vetting.
