Drivers Mate

Overview

GX0 Driver's Mate role in partnership with B&Q, based in Lincoln (LN6 7DJ
). Join a two-person delivering team and support the driver by parking, manoeuvring, loading/unloading, and providing excellent customer service to ensure goods are delivered in excellent condition.

• Work as part of a two-person team delivering products to customer premises (room of choice) on a multidrop basis – an average of 16 drops per day off peak and 24 drops per day in peak season.
• Assist the delivery driver with parking and manoeuvring a company vehicle and with loading and unloading of goods as required.
• Provide effective customer service and inform customers of estimated delivery times; communicate any issues in a polite and courteous manner.
• Demonstrate a can-do attitude with problem-solving skills and a willingness to undertake pre-employment DBS checks.
• Be prepared to commute to Lincoln (LN6 7DJ
  ) for the required shift pattern.

• Excellent customer service skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to perform manual handling tasks (pulling, lifting, pushing).
• Experience dealing with multi-drop home delivery preferred but not essential.
• Be prepared to undertake pre-employment Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
• Be able to work a two-week rotating shift pattern (Week 1: Mon–Fri; Week 2: Sun–Thu) starting at 11:00; 40 hours per week.

• Hourly rate: £12.58 (approx. £26,166.40 annual)
