Loading Shovel Driver – Green Waste Recycling

Location:

Barkston Heath, Ancaster, NG32 3QF
(near Grantham)
Pay Rate: £15.50 per hour

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

About the Role

Simple Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Loading Shovel Driver to join our client at their busy green waste recycling facility near Grantham.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing, full-time work with a well-established recycling operation. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the site's shredding and screening processes while ensuring materials are moved safely and efficiently around the yard.

Key Responsibilities

* Operating a Loading Shovel safely and efficiently.

* Feeding green waste materials into shredders.

* Managing screening operations and maintaining material flow across the site.

* Stockpiling and moving materials as required.

* Carrying out daily pre-start checks and basic machine inspections.

* Reporting any defects or maintenance requirements.

* Following all site health and safety procedures.

* Assisting with general site duties where required.

Requirements

* Valid Loading Shovel licence (essential).

* Previous experience operating a Loading Shovel within waste, recycling, aggregates, quarrying, or a similar industry.

* Good understanding of health and safety procedures.

* Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently.

* A proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.
