Some people are happy to process a transaction and move on. Others want to understand the numbers, catch what doesn’t look right, and make sure everything adds up. If that sounds like you, this could be the opportunity you’ve been looking for.
We’re seeking an Accounting & Financial Operations Analyst to join our collaborative finance team and work closely with the VP of Finance. This role covers core accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment tracking, account reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records in Net Suite.
What makes this position different is the variety and level of involvement. Along with managing day-to-day accounting activity, you’ll research discrepancies, communicate with vendors and business partners, and help resolve issues that require a closer look. You’ll have the opportunity to learn the business, build relationships across the organization, and take ownership of your work without getting stuck in the same routine every day.
What You’ll Do- Manage day-to-day accounts payable activities, including reviewing invoices, verifying supporting documentation, entering transactions in Net Suite, and coordinating payments.
- Support accounts receivable processes by monitoring incoming payments, reviewing account activity, and maintaining accurate records.
- Reconcile account balances and compare invoices, payments, and transaction records to identify inconsistencies and maintain accurate financial data.
- Investigate discrepancies involving invoices, payment records, and supporting documentation, identifying the source of errors and determining the appropriate resolution.
- Communicate with vendors and other business partners to clarify billing questions, resolve payment issues, and obtain missing information.
- Maintain accurate accounting records in Net Suite and internal systems, ensuring transactions and supporting documentation are properly recorded.
- Use Excel to organize financial information, compare records, track outstanding items, and support reconciliations.
- Assist with account reviews, financial reporting, and other accounting projects as needed.
- Work directly with the VP of Finance on daily accounting operations, special projects, and process improvements.
- Minimum 1 year of previous experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Hands-on experience with Net Suite.
- Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with financial data.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot inconsistencies.
- Good problem-solving skills and the willingness to investigate issues rather than make assumptions.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work professionally with external business partners.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
