D1 Training Lincolnshire | Lincolnshire, IL
Part-Time $17–$19/hour
About D1 Training
D1 Training is an athletic-based training facility for youth athletes and adults. Our mission is simple:
You pick the goal, we help you get there.
At D1 Training Lincolnshire, we're building more than a place to work out. We want to create a community where athletes, parents, and adult members feel welcomed, known, and excited to walk through our doors.
We're looking for a high-energy, personable, and dependable Front Desk & Member Experience Associate to help us deliver that experience every day.
The RoleThis is more than a check-in position.
Our front desk is the first and last interaction our members have with D1 each day. You'll be responsible for creating a welcoming environment from the moment someone walks through the door until the moment they leave.
You'll greet members and families, check athletes into class, answer questions, help with basic member needs, and build genuine relationships with the people who make up our D1 community.
Our expectation is simple: every person who walks through our doors should feel welcomed, recognized, and valued.
What You'll Do- Greet every athlete, parent, member, and guest as they enter the facility
- Acknowledge and thank members as they leave
- Check members into scheduled training sessions
- Learn member and athlete names and build relationships within our D1 community
- Create a friendly, energetic, and professional atmosphere
- Help new members and guests feel comfortable from the moment they arrive
- Answer basic questions regarding classes, schedules, memberships, and facility operations
- Assist members with basic scheduling and account needs
- Help address customer questions or concerns and involve management when appropriate
- Communicate important information between members, parents, coaches, and management
- Keep the front desk, lobby, and member-facing areas clean, organized, and welcoming
- Stay aware of what's happening throughout the facility and proactively look for opportunities to help
- Support the coaching and management team with basic operational needs
Success in this role means our members feel known
.
You learn names. You greet people before they have to greet you. You recognize when someone needs help and step in. You build relationships with parents, athletes, and adult members.
Members should leave D1 feeling like they're part of a community — not like they just checked into another gym.
Who We're Looking ForWe're looking for someone who is naturally great with people
.
This is an active, people-focused role. We expect our front desk team to be engaged with members and aware of what's happening throughout the facility.
The right person is someone who:
- Is outgoing, friendly, and approachable
- Genuinely enjoys interacting with people
- Is comfortable starting conversations with members and parents
- Provides excellent customer service
- Has a positive attitude and brings great energy
- Is reliable and punctual
- Is professional and mature
Takes initiative rather than waiting to be told what to do - Is organized and attentive to detail
- Is comfortable interacting with youth athletes, teenagers, adults, and parents
- Can remain calm and helpful when handling customer questions or concerns
- Is comfortable learning basic scheduling and check-in software
- Takes pride in creating a great experience for others
Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, fitness, retail, or a front desk environment is preferred but not required.
A background or interest in sports and fitness is a plus, but personality, reliability, and the ability to connect with people are most important.
Compensation$17–$19 per hour
, depending on experience.
You'll have the opportunity to be part of the team building the culture of a brand-new D1 Training facility.
You'll get to know our athletes and families, work in a high-energy sports and fitness environment, and play an important role in creating the type of experience that keeps members excited to come back.
If you're someone who remembers names, enjoys talking with people, takes initiative, and understands that great customer service is about the little things
, we'd love to meet you.
