School District 103 is seeking to fill a 3rd grade leave of absence teaching position. Leave will begin on approximately 04/16/2026 through 06/01/2026 (or last day of student attendance).
Additional transition days will be required and arranged between the candidate, teacher and building principal.
Job Summary: Provide self-contained classroom instruction at the 3rd grade level.
Minimum Qualifications- 3+ years teaching experience preferred
- Bachelor's Degree
- Candidate must hold a valid Illinois PEL License with Elementary endorsement required
- Meets state's NCLB's Highly Qualified Teacher requirements
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word and Power Point
- Familiarity with Smart Board technology and tablets a plus
- Strong understanding of balanced literacy approach
- Experience working with the proposed age group
- Experience assessing student achievement and differentiating instruction
- Experience working with English Language Learners
- Experience working with Google Docs
- Experience supporting children in the use of technology
- An ability to learn new technology tools quickly
- Candidate must hold a valid Illinois teaching Professional Educator License (PEL).
- Elementary Education K-9 endorsement required
