The Application Engineer (Junior Level) provides technical and troubleshooting support for LS Electric products and applications to sales channel personnel and key customer accounts. This role serves as a primary technical resource, supporting product selection, application inquiries, and post-sales technical needs.

Key

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide technical and troubleshooting support for products and applications to sales channel personnel and key accounts
  • Deliver technical support via phone and email
  • Serve as one of the primary technical resources for all product and application inquiries
  • Assist with product selection, cross-referencing, and application guidance
  • Provide feedback on factory documentation to support continuous improvement efforts
  • Develop knowledge base articles, including start-up procedures for new products
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new products and applications through self-study and hands-on testing of demo units
  • Support products including VFDs, HMIs, and other electrical and industrial automation products
  • Assist in evaluating and repairing warranty cases
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • None
Required Education, Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience
  • 1–2 years of electrical-related experience or experience with industrial automation products
  • Experience with PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, servos, control networks, motion control, and other industrial automation applications (e.g., contractors, circuit breakers, MMS, etc.) is a plus
  • Technical writing skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Strong customer service and phone support skills
  • Professional, patient, positive, and confident communication style
  • Strong organizational skills, including document management, demo equipment, workspace organization, and time management
