Senior HSE Engineer

As a Senior HSE Engineer here at Honeywell, you will serve as a functional HSE expert, providing Environmental, Health, & Safety leadership and technical support to the facility. In this role, you will impact our organization by overseeing the development and implementation of health, safety, and environmental programs that ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders will ensure that HSE considerations are integrated into business processes and decision-making, contributing to the overall success and reputation of our business as a responsible and sustainable organization.

You will report directly to the HSS/IMC Sr. HSE Director, and you’ll work 100% onsite at our Lincolnshire IL location.

YOU MUST HAVE Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, engineering, environmental science, or a related field.
3+ years of progressive safety, health, and environmental  knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.

Experience with HSE Management systems and compliance tools. WE VALUE Experience in a manufacturing environment.

Environmental Compliance experience, especially Hazardous Waste management experience.

Bilingual (Spanish) skills at an intermediate conversational proficiency.

Past experience implementing and sustaining HSE management systems (ISO 14001/45001).ASP (Associate Safety Professional), CSP (Certified Safety Professional), or other similar certification.

Passion for promoting a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.

Strong business acumen and ability to align HSE engineering with organizational goals.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Use innovative thinking to drive continuous improvement projects.

Ability to inspire and motivate a team.
