Government funded places on the ACPT course are limited each year. CPLhave accessed some non-recurrent monies to support contractors who are not successful in gaining a funded place.
CPL have funding for up to 28 places at £330 including VAT, which will be offered on a first come first served basis to qualifying contractors.
Initially these have been offered to independent contractors and they are now opened up to the wider community pharmacy network in Lincolnshire.No additional support is available, solely course fees can be paid.

The team will contact you to confirm if you qualify and then if you do we will send you details of what you need to do next, enabling you to book your course. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK AND PAY FOR THE COURSE UNTIL WE HAVE CONFIRMED YOU QUALIFY.
Once you have been accepted for a place, upon submission of a receipt from CPPE showing you have self-funded the course for your technician and a request for payment claim for reimbursement including your company name, address and bank details, CPL will send over payment.

The CPPE Accuracy checking pharmacy technician (ACPT) programme aims to support pharmacy technicians to:
- develop the skills required to be a safe final accuracy checking pharmacy technician
- improve leadership skills to direct the dispensary team
- support the multi-disciplinary team to deliver patient-facing services.
From 1 st August 2024, NHS England has funded CPPE to offer the ACPT programme for pharmacy technicians working in community pharmacy, NHS hospitals, and in Health and Justice. A total of 80 NHS-funded places are available, with 10 places on the course each month. NHS England funding for places on the ACPT programme will end when all 80 places have been allocated or by the end of March 2025.
50% of the funding has been allocated for community pharmacy and 50% for other sectors.
If you are not eligible for an NHS England-funded place, the total cost of the course is £330 including VAT….
The ACPT programme is open to pharmacy technicians who are registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), work in a premises in England and who meet the entry criteria. You can check the entry criteriahere .
