Work Hours: Saturdays & Sundays, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM. Open to scheduling every weekend or every other weekend based on applicant preference.

Rate of Pay: $ per hour based on experience

Sedgebrook
is looking for a hospitality-focused Home Care Supervisor! This role is responsible for the daily operations of our home care service, Sedgebrook at Home.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Home Care Supervisor:

  • Assists with administrative tasks in the department, including orientation, scheduling, and training of caregivers.
  • Provides written communication and correspondence, maintains paperwork, files, etc. as it relates to home care.
  • Maintain knowledge of home care processes including scheduling, service provisions, and policy & procedure manual. Acquires and maintains sufficient knowledge of home care services to be able to assess quality of services, and to provide backup staffing support when needed.
  • Assist with resident assessments for home care services, as needed. Participates in discussions and meetings with residents and their families regarding services needed to remain safe in their apartment or home.
  • Supervises home care personnel in respect to hiring, training, coaching; relays attendance, behavior and performance issues to the Training Manager/Department Director.
  • Provides personal care and assistance to the residents in their homes.
  • Performs assessments, spot checks, and initial meet-and-greets.
  • Reports all incidents/accidents immediately. Reports all unsafe/hazardous conditions immediately. Assures that established safety regulations are followed at all times.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent resident care information to assure HIPAA policies are followed, and resident rights are protected.
  • Oversees special projects.
  • Keeps home care team informed of client status.
  • Follows all policies and procedures of the company.
  • Understands and complies with training materials.
  • Attends required training and meetings. Completes required tests within deadlines.

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

  • Minimum 4 years' experience working with seniors in a home care/caregiving capacity.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Fluency in English, including speaking, reading, and writing. Simple arithmetic skills required.
  • Computer literacy required - proficiency in word processing and computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and teaching skills required.
  • Fluency in English, including speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Ability to maintain a courteous, friendly and helpful attitude at all times.
  • Current first aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
  • CNA certification or LPN license preferred.



Physical Requirements /

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to do the following:
    • Transport residents via wheelchair or shower chair, pushing up to 150 lbs. unassisted.
    • Must be able to transfer, lift, turn, and position a resident weighing up to 125 lbs. unassisted or with the assistance of one for a resident weighing over 125 lbs.
    • Stand and walk for up to 90% of the workday.
    • Reach up to a level of six feet.
    • Lift and carry up to 20 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
    • Sit for several hours at a time.
  • Frequent standing, stooping, bending, stretching, squatting.
  • May be exposed to blood and body fluids which may contain HIV and/or HBV.
  • May be subjected to offensive odors and combative behavior.
  • Good visual and hearing acuity required.
