Job Title: Caregiver
Work Status: Non-Exempt, PRN
Pay: $17.00 - $19.73 per hour based on experience
Hours: Our home care department, Sedgebrook at Home, provides flexible hours based on caregiver's availability, but it is a plus if you can work the following shifts:
Part-Time Mornings or Nights:
- 7:00 AM - 11:00 AM
- 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
- 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM
8-12 Hour Shifts Available Days, Evenings, Nights

Job Duties:
- Provides assistance with personal care, bathing, and dressing.
- Provides caring companionship and conversation.
- Provides escort services, supervision and assistance to resident when shopping, running errands and going to medical appointments.
- Encourages resident to be active and encourages independence.
- Supervises and/or assists resident with household tasks that the resident cannot do independently.
- Assists with pet care if resident requires assistance.
- Assists in maintaining a safe environment.
- Keeps supervisor informed of client status.
- Follows all policies and procedures of the company.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong customer service skills and passion for working with older adults.
- Household skills in cooking and cleaning.
- English fluency including speaking, reading, and writing.
- Must have a smart phone and the ability to navigate through a cell phone application for personal timekeeping and plan of care for our residents.
- Current first aid and CPR certification or must obtain within 3 months of hire.
- One year or more experience working with seniors.
- Six months or more experience working with seniors providing dementia level care.
- Experience in caregiving.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to move throughout the building and grounds as needed throughout the day.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Good visual and hearing acuity required.
- May be exposed to communicable diseases, and blood and body fluids that may contain HIV and/or HBV.
- May be exposed to cleaning chemicals and offensive odors.
