Senior Salesforce Engineer - Nearshore

A large retail company is seeking a Senior Salesforce Engineer who approaches challenges as a strategic problem solver rather than a mere order-taker. This role demands a senior-level professional capable of dissecting requests to uncover true business intent, challenging flawed assumptions, and crafting scalable, robust solutions that withstand the demands of high-volume operations, complexity, and evolving needs. You will collaborate closely with Product, Architecture, Admins, and business stakeholders to design and deliver Salesforce implementations that prioritize long-term maintainability, performance, and growth, ensuring solutions anticipate downstream impacts on data models, security, limits, and future scalability.

In this position, you will translate ambiguous business problems into clear, elegant solutions by evaluating declarative versus coded approaches, native versus custom features, and short-term fixes against sustainable strategies. You will design and implement clean Apex, Lightning Web Components, and integrations while emphasizing root-cause analysis, pushing back on low-value or poorly defined requests with superior alternatives, and balancing delivery speed with technical debt avoidance.

Responsibilities also include building high-quality Apex classes, triggers, batch jobs, asynchronous processes, and LWCs to best practices; writing meaningful unit tests; participating in code reviews focused on quality and readability; working within a CI/CD pipeline using modern Dev Ops tools; supporting releases and production issues diagnostically; mentoring junior developers; communicating technical tradeoffs to non-technical audiences; and contributing to platform standards, patterns, and long-term strategy.

Pay Rate: $35-$45/hr

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience

• Strong Apex development (classes, triggers, async patterns)

• Advanced Lightning Web Components experience

• Deep understanding of Salesforce data modeling, security, and governor limits

• Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems (REST APIs, middleware,
events)

• Experience working in an Agile team with version control and CI/CD

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience with large-scale or multi-org Salesforce environments

• Dev Ops tools (Gearset, Copado, Git-based pipelines, etc.)

• Experience with Salesforce Clouds beyond Sales & Service (CPQ, Field Service, Data
Cloud)

• Prior experience influencing architecture or technical direction
