Overview

METAL ASSEMBLY role at UCS Inc.

Summary:

Performs repetitive work-station assembly operations to produce sports equipment for track and field, strength training, and stadiums.

• Performs any assembly-type functions, using hand or power tools.
• Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
• Completes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules.
• Operates a forklift as required.
• Operates any equipment needed to perform job.
• Performs related duties as needed by supervision.

• Education and Experience:
  
  High school diploma or GED. Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment. Must be able to speak and read the English language.
• Physical Demands:
  The employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and may be required to walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, and kneel. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs, frequently lift heavier items with assistance or support.
• Work Environment:
  Work is performed in a shop environment. May work at different workstations as production needs require or shift between stations during the assembly process.
