Professional Scientific Opportunity in Lincolnton North Carolina
A premier laboratory services provider is currently seeking a Junior Scientist to join their technical operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for a science professional dedicated to improving community health and environmental safety through rigorous analytical testing.
The schedule for this position is Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct fundamental analysis of various materials and products using standard laboratory instrumentation.
- Follow established standard operating procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy in all testing phases.
- Document and interpret technical results while maintaining comprehensive databases and scientific records.
- Provide technical feedback to management regarding chemistry and biochemistry policies and testing trends.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance and quality assurance.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to resolve technical discrepancies and meet project deadlines.
- Contribute to a cooperative workplace environment by sharing process improvement suggestions.
- A Bachelor degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a closely related scientific discipline is required. Equivalent combinations of professional experience and education will also be considered.
- Strong understanding of fundamental chemical principles and laboratory administration.
- Proficiency with standard computer applications and scientific data management systems.
- Ability to interpret and apply complex regulations and safety codes.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting technical findings to both peers and leadership.
- Capability to handle physical requirements of a lab environment including standing for periods of time and lifting up to 20 pounds.
