Youth Sports Associate - Lincoln County Family YMCA

Overview

Under the general supervision of the Coordinator/Director, in cooperation with other YMCA staff, and consistent with the Christian mission of the YMCA, the Youth Sports Official is responsible for enforcement of official league rules during all scheduled games.

• Maintain atmosphere consistent with the YMCA Christian Mission during games.
• Diffuse conflict situations involving parents, coaches and players.
• Communicate any inappropriate behavior to Sports Specialist and/or Program Director.
• Enforce rules for particular sport.

• Be in support of the YMCA’s Christian mission and Youth Sports philosophy
• Have sufficient knowledge of rules for the specific sport being officiated
• Must be enthusiastic
• Able to develop positive relationships with coaches, children and parents
