Job Description:

Scotch Plains Specialty Pharmacy in Scotch Plains is seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will assist the pharmacist in the preparation and dispensing of medications, provide exceptional customer service, and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Key Responsibilities:

• Medication Preparation:
  Assist in the preparation and dispensing of prescription medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

• Customer Service:
  Provide outstanding customer service by assisting patients with their inquiries, processing transactions, and addressing concerns professionally.

• Inventory Management:
  Maintain accurate inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock to ensure availability of medications.

• Regulatory Compliance:
  Ensure all pharmacy operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations.

• Record Keeping:
  Accurately maintain patient records and pharmacy documentation.

• Insurance Processing:
  Handle insurance claims processing and resolve any issues related to reimbursement.

• Team
  
  Collaboration:
  
  Work closely with the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient care.

• Safety Protocols:
  Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Job Requirements:

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent, completion of a pharmacy technician training program preferred.

• Certification:
  Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred.

• Experience:
  
  Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a pharmacy setting preferred.

Skills:

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency with pharmacy management software.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

• Knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations.
