Our client, a global manufacturer and distributor of consumer goods, known for innovation and quality is currently hiring a Associate Project Manager – QA / Product Development with a strong background in supplier coordination, packaging, and quality systems. This is a cross-functional role ideal for a detail-oriented professional with 4–6 years of experience supporting end-to-end product workflows, sample approvals, and quality assurance in a consumer goods or manufacturing environment.
This individual will partner closely with creative, product development, supply chain, and QA/QC teams to support new product launches, manage vendor relationships, and maintain high standards across the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Project & Product Management
- Track item spec sheets, mold updates, and packaging changes.
- Manage boards to monitor workflow and cross-functional timelines.
- Schedule and coordinate pre-production, inline, and pre-shipment inspections with 3rd party partners.
- Support product development sample tracking and sample review processes to ensure design accuracy and functionality.
- Communicate directly with domestic and international suppliers regarding approvals, corrections, and production-readiness.
- Maintain organized documentation in SharePoint for QA/QC and product development.
Artwork & Creative Coordination
- Collaborate with the Creative Department for daily artwork registration check-ins.
- Review and provide feedback on new artwork print samples to ensure alignment with packaging and regulatory standards.
Logistics & Quality Support
- Request and manage retainment samples from suppliers for all new or updated packaging components.
- Notify Supply Chain of approvals or concerns prior to loading to ensure accurate and timely shipments.
- Support the resolution of product quality issues across departments.
Process Improvement
- Draft and implement SOPs for functions intersecting with QA/QC and Project Management to improve consistency, accuracy, and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- 4–6 years of relevant experience in QA/QC, supplier engagement, and packaging, preferably in the manufacturing or consumer goods industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations Management or a related field required.
- Proven experience reviewing and managing production samples, coordinating with suppliers, and tracking project milestones.
- Proficiency in project management platforms such as , and working knowledge of SharePoint and related systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Competitive salary range of $70,000 to $75,000, commensurate with experience.
