Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our repair shop. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will assist our foreman by diagnosing and repairing issues with vehicles’ performance and function.

As a Diesel Mechanic, you must have an in-depth understanding of all vehicle systems and components. You will also be responsible for maintaining a safe repair shop environment.

The ideal candidate is skilled in various diagnostic platforms, a good communicator, works well with others, and is knowledgeable and willing to continue learning.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicles coming into the shop
• Carry out routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as tire rotations, oil changes, and brake pad replacements
• Diagnose various manufacturers' medium to heavy-duty trucks & equipment (Mack, Hino, PB, IH, KW, Volvo, Freightliner, Isuzu, Cummins, etc.)
• Electrical troubleshooting & repair
• Conduct in-depth vehicle inspections of all systems, including engine, transmission, and brakes (able to complete thorough annual Federal Safety DOT inspections)
• Maintain a safe and pleasant work environment

Qualifications

• Prior diesel repair or dealership experience
• Positive attitude
