- Exceptional patient care
- Interprets physician orders, performs initial evaluations and establishes treatment plans and functional goals
- Upgrade and amend treatment goals as necessary during the episode of care
- Written documentation on patient status to physicians per compliance guidelines of IBJI rehab
- Determine appropriate discharge timeline and follow up
- Supervision of Rehabilitation Technicians with patient care and administrative staff as needed
- Compliance with daily paperwork; PT/PTAs/ATCs are responsible for documenting all treatment in patient charts in a timely manner
- Stays current with billing policies and demonstrates ethical billing practices
- Maintains active state license by earning CEUs through outside courses and IBJI sponsored educational opportunities
- Develops positive relationships with the physician teams at IBJI
- Participates in patient care teams, office visits with physicians, and coordination with case managers
- Participates in programs sponsored by IBJI:
Mentoring, clinical educator, special interest group, community outreach
- Graduate from accredited Physical Therapy Program
- Licensed or eligible to sit for boards in the state of Illinois
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Professional and effective writing and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift greater than 25 pounds
- Demonstrates good understanding of proper body mechanics for lifting, pulling, pushing
- Ability to stand and sit for extended periods
- Ability to work on a computer for lengthy times during the day
