COOK (FULL TIME) – Unidine

Unidine is hiring immediately for a full‑time COOK position.

Location: The Village at Victory Lakes – 1075 East Victory Drive, Lindenhurst, IL 60046.

Schedule: Full‑time. Friday through Tuesday, hours may vary; mid‑, double‑, and close‑shifts are included. More details will be provided during the interview.

Requirement: Previous cooking experience required.

Pay Range: $17.00 – $22.00 per hour.

• Prepare high‑quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery, and service schedules.
• Serve meals or prepare for delivery using correct portioning, ensuring food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty. Taste all prepared food items.
• Use established ticket collection procedures during service. Maintain records from the area worked during service periods.
• Clean the kitchen after preparation and service, maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Store or discard excess food in accordance with safe food‑handling procedures.
• Keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat. Ensure food and supplies are stored per standards.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Assist in production planning, record keeping, and reporting as required.
• Assist in the ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as required.
• Report needed maintenance, faulty equipment, or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
• Attend in‑service and safety meetings.
• Maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers.
• Perform work safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures; follow HACCP standards.
• Display personal commitment to your own safety and that of others.
• Abide by all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to:
  • Use of medium‑weight cut gloves when handling knives, peelers, choppers, mandolins, or cleaning a slicer.
  • Use of oven mitts, fryer gloves, or steamer gloves when handling hot pans from ovens, warmers, or steam tables.
  • Use of slip‑resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques.
