Used Vehicle Service Technician

Doug Smith Kia, a leading automotive dealership in Lindon, Utah, seeks a motivated and energetic Used Vehicle Service Technician to join our team. This is a high-volume position where turnaround time is crucial. As a Used Vehicle Service Technician, your role will be essential in reconditioning and preserving our extensive inventory of used vehicles. Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate and detailed estimates for Used Car reconditioning, ensuring transparency and clear communication with customers
• Document all work performed clearly and accurately to maintain proper record-keeping and facilitate effective communication
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc., utilizing your expertise and technical skills
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment for comprehensive and accurate evaluations
• Communicate directly with Service Advisors to ensure efficient workflow and to keep Used Car Managers informed of any needed service or repairs
• Provide estimates of time needed for additional repairs to maintain transparency and manage customer expectations
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications to ensure quality workmanship and customer satisfaction

Requirements:

• Must be a motivated and proficient diagnostician with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Prior experience diagnosing and repairing vehicles from multiple brands, demonstrating versatility and knowledge in automotive repair
• Maintain Kia training certification as directed, keeping up-to-date with the latest advancements in Kia vehicles
• Maintain a clean and efficient work area, ensuring safety and organization in the workplace
• Emissions certification preferred, showcasing a commitment to environmentally responsible practices
• Must have a good driving record and be 18 years of age or older
