Stickpack Line Lead

somafina is seeking an experienced line lead to oversee the stickpack packaging line in a manufacturing environment. The role requires ensuring production targets, quality, safety, and compliance while supervising operators and technicians.

Base Pay Range

$19.50/hr – $20.50/hr

About the Role

The Stickpack Line Lead is responsible for managing the daily operations of the stickpack packaging line. Key duties include supervising staff, monitoring equipment performance, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment, preferably with stickpack or similar packaging lines.
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a production setting.
  • Basic understanding of packaging machinery operation and maintenance.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree or technical certification in manufacturing, industrial technology, or related field.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and FDA regulations.
  • Proficiency in using production management software and data tracking tools.
  • Previous experience leading teams in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead the daily operations of the stickpack packaging line to meet production schedules and quality standards.
  • Train, mentor, and support line operators and technicians to ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.
  • Monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance and production planning teams to ensure compliance with product specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize line efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance overall productivity.
