Lindsay, ON. Part‑time up to 24 hrs per week. Other varied shifts: day, afternoon, evening, weekend.

Job Brief

The Junior Cashier position provides administrative support, including reception and cashier services for Rentals, Aquatics, Fitness, Squash and Arena functions at the Recreation Complex.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and balance daily bank deposits and daily revenue reports.
  • Provide administrative support to Recreation Complex supervisory staff.
  • Provide reception and cashier services for rentals, aquatics, fitness, squash and arena functions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all facility users via telephone, e‑mail and in person.
  • Prepare paperwork for membership transactions/data entry and participate in the promotion of recreation programs.
  • Provide information in response to requests on available programs and services.
  • Establish and maintain a positive and welcoming image and environment for the public and staff.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Experience in a front line clerical position; ability to multi‑task while serving the public.
  • Demonstrated cash handling skills.
  • Demonstrated time‑management skills; ability to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines effectively, with minimal supervision, dealing with multiple demands.
  • Outstanding customer‑service skills with demonstrated ability to “make a difference” in a customer’s day.
  • Excellent oral communication and strong interpersonal skills to deal with members of the public and staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to function positively in team‑oriented situations.
  • Excellent record‑keeping skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, the internet and any other related software.
  • Upon a conditional offer of employment, a Criminal Record Check will be required.
