The City of Kawartha Lakes is hiring a full-time Plant Operator to ensure water distribution and wastewater systems operate efficiently and in compliance with regulations. Successful candidates should demonstrate a strong knowledge of public health legislation and customer services, alongside a commitment to quality improvements. Your task will enhance community water services through effective monitoring and response strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage infrastructure operations for water and wastewater systems

• Inspect and maintain various treatment equipment

• Ensure compliance through routine quality checks

• Address and resolve water-related inquiries proactively

• Document all maintenance and operations accurately

Requirements:

• Diploma in Environmental Studies or similar field

• Minimum three years in water management roles

• Required certifications:
Class III, Class IV, and first aid

• Proficiency in SCADA/PLC systems

• Valid driver’s licenses, Class G and DZ
