Plant Operator Water Compliance Focus

Enhance municipal water systems as a Plant Operator with the City of Kawartha Lakes. This role involves overseeing water treatment and distribution in a temporary full-time capacity.
The Plant Operator will ensure compliance with all applicable water regulations while performing maintenance and process monitoring.

Your role is vital in maintaining water quality, responding to service requests, and managing treatment facilities effectively. Collaboration with supervisors and adherence to safety regulations are key aspects of this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain water and wastewater treatment facilities

• Conduct inspections and repairs on water distribution systems

• Implement water quality testing and emergency responses

• Communicate operational updates to supervisors

• Comply with all municipal policies and safety procedures
Requirements:

• Post-secondary diploma in relevant field

• At least three years of operational experience

• Valid Class III and IV certifications mandatory

• Familiarity with water and environmental legislation

• Excellent communication and organizational skills
