Municipal Water Treatment Operator

Take on the role of Municipal Water Treatment Operator with the City of Kawartha Lakes in a full-time temporary position. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining essential water services.

As a key player in the Public Works department, you'll oversee the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of water treatment and distribution systems. You will be responsible for performing repairs, ensuring compliance with regulations, and responding to community concerns about water quality.

Your role is critical in ensuring safe and reliable water services throughout the city.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor water treatment systems

• Perform repairs and maintenance on water infrastructure

• Conduct water quality inspections and resolve issues

• Maintain accurate operational records for compliance

• Respond effectively to customer inquiries and issues

Requirements:

• Minimum three years of experience as a water operator

• Required certifications:
Class III and IV

• Knowledge of Safe Drinking Water Act and related laws

• Strong problem-solving and customer service skills

• Prepared for skill testing as needed
