Position: Operator for Wastewater and Water Systems
Location: Kawartha Lakes

Drive operational success at Kawartha Lakes by managing water distribution and wastewater collection systems. This role focuses on effective maintenance and compliance with industry standards.

In this Plant Operator role, you will ensure proper functioning of municipal water infrastructure and wastewater systems. Your focus will be on maintaining water quality, conducting repairs, and responding to service inquiries. Proven ability to use SCADA/PLC systems is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain compliance with water and wastewater regulations

• Conduct repairs and maintenance on distribution infrastructure

• Monitor water quality and handle customer concerns

• Perform inspections on service connections and leaks

• Maintain accurate logs and reports for operations

Requirements:

• Diploma in Environmental Studies or a related discipline

• Minimum of three years in water/wastewater operations

• Required Class III and IV operational certifications

• Current Confined Space Entry and First Aid/CPR certifications

• Ontario Class G and DZ Driver’s Licences required
