Water Treatment Operator

Join the City of Kawartha Lakes as a Plant Operator focused on water distribution and treatment in Lindsay, Ontario. This role demands expertise in monitoring, maintenance, and operation of municipal water systems.

As a full-time Plant Operator (Water), you'll engage in the essential operation and maintenance of water and wastewater systems. Candidates with at least three years of experience in water treatment and distribution are preferred. Successful candidates will perform safety inspections, respond to customer inquiries, and maintain water quality, ensuring compliance with industry legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain water and wastewater treatment facilities

• Inspect and repair water distribution and collection systems

• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies

• Respond to service inquiries regarding water quality and leaks

• Maintain accurate records of operations and maintenance

Requirements:

• Post-secondary diploma in Environmental Studies

• Minimum three years operating water systems

• Valid Class III and IV certifications

• Knowledge of water quality regulations

• Excellent communication and organizational skills
