Recreation Complex Services Supervisor; or, Area Supervisor

South Area, as assigned (Manvers and Oakwood Arenas)

Hours

Up to 24 hours per week; includes day, afternoon, evening and weekend hours, from September to March

Job Description
  • Assist in the operation and maintenance of community centres and arenas
  • Ice re-surfacing and maintenance
  • Cleaning of washrooms and building
  • Assist in the collection of facility revenue
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Skills / Education Required
  • Previous experience in arenas/ice operations or willingness and ability to learn
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Experience with preventive maintenance of various types of equipment preferred
  • Excellent customer-service, effective oral communication and strong interpersonal skills to deal with members of the public and staff
  • First Aid and CPR preferred
  • Possess and maintain a valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s Licence
  • Upon a conditional offer of employment, an acceptable Criminal Record Check, including a Vulnerable Sector Search, will be required
